Career goal is very important decision which each and everyone have to make in his life. One must have to set a goal and precede towards it in his/her career. There is one long term goal and to fulfill it there are many short term goal. Long term goals are very important. Following points must be kept in mind while setting a long term goals:
1.You should know what your strong and weak points are. You can set your goal according to that only. If you are good at mathematics, you can go for engineering or accountant’s job. If you are good at commerce, you can join commerce field. One thing is for sure that the ultimate goals are one out of your strong points. You will be very disappointed through out your life. Hence make sure that your career goal is appropriate.
2.You should divide your career by making short term courses. This is similar to a football match strategy. In football match the coach and the captain divides the half into sub half. They attack in one and are defensive in some. However that team wins which follows the strategy more accurately than other. Similarly one is able to achieve long term goal by achieving short term goals.
3.After selecting a job don’t waste time in searching other. Work wholeheartedly and try to achieve the goal set by you and off coarse the company. It is believed that you have got the job in the field of your interest. Give your 200% and for sure you will be able to achieve what you want?
4.Do not brag your long term to everyone. It’s not good to be identified by goals rather than achieving it. You will not be paid any incentives for bragging your long term goals.
5.If you land up with the job which likes helping you to achieve the short term goal, make sure you work for at least one year in that company. You will then see that you will come up with better opportunities after one year.
6.Don’t stop dreaming. Its dream which becomes a truth some day. You can say that after 5 years I will be the following post. You can say that after 2 years I will be able to earn this much amount of money. You can dream that you will be able to solve all your problems after six years and so on.
Keep dreaming. You will surely will be able to achieve it if you do hard work.
